TORONTO, April 9, 2019 – Cue Digital, the online media sales agency that delivers engagement to the most lucrative consumer audiences in Canada, today announced the hiring of Michael Giles in the newly created role of chief revenue officer, along with the internal promotion of two senior executives. The newly restructured executive team is focused on developing big creative solutions for clients across all revenue streams.

Giles comes to Cue having held senior positions at several digital media companies over the past 20+ years. He will be responsible for leading sales across all of the company’s revenue streams including branded content, influencer marketing, and location-based mobile advertising in Cue’s suite of premium brand safe publishers, partners and environments.

“Michael Giles is a highly-skilled negotiator who knows how to sell a big idea. His track record with our competitors speaks for itself, and we’re just glad to have him on our team now,” said David U.K., CEO, Cue Digital. “With his established network in the consumer internet market and Canada and mentorship of our team, we expect to see a big impact on our sales growth going forward.”

Tony Mutch is promoted to chief financial officer, the second C-level position created in the new executive team restructure. Mutch began working with Cue as a financial consultant 10 years ago, when it first launched as a production company. Mostly recently, he served as vice president of finance and operations and is a partner in the company.

Christopher Walton is promoted to vice president of strategy and innovation. Walton has led the company’s influencer programs, content marketing, sponsorship initiatives and social media strategy for the past year and a half. Walton was instrumental in Cue Digital’s 10-year anniversary rebrand. Previously, Walton worked for AOL, Media Experts and Mindshare. He also won gold at the Canadian Young Lions and is a Marketing 30 Under 30 alumnus.

“As one of Cue’s veterans, Tony has played an integral role in helping transform Cue into the digital media company of the future,” said David U.K. “Chris’ promotion reflects the great work he has done elevating our innovative sales solutions with his ability to think big picture and develop creative ideas for our clients.”
